When they renovated their Buckhead home, these homeowners asked for a media room that included wholehouse integration. While watching a movie or satellite TV or listening to music, the homeowners wanted to be able to control lighting, environment (HVAC) and arm/disarm the security system all from extremely comfortable arm chairs. Because the family media room (pictured above) was completely paneled in wood and had a fireplace, it required very careful installation of the wiring for the speakers and AV feeds to the television. Using buttons on the Crestron remote control, the owners are now able to select a “Good Morning” setting which changes the HVAC settings, turns on lights in the pathway from the master bedroom to the media room and turns on the plasma TV to the homeowners’ favorite morning channel.
