Makeover of the month – Light and Luxurious
With a great location and lake views, all this Alpharetta home needed was a modern update. Attorney Kevin M. Veler and his wife enlisted the help of Jill Weber, CR, of Kitchen Connections, LLC, for a whole-house remodel. One of the goals of the massive undertaking was to expand the master bathroom and replace the existing white cabinetry, brass hardware, carpet and cracked window. Defining the new space is a soaring cathedral ceiling along with a new skylight and etched privacy window, which restores the lake view and bathes the space in natural light, making it appear more open. His-and-hers vanities complete with casually elegant cherry cabinetry, stone countertops with swirls of cream, chocolate and black and sleek fixtures by Axor provide ample storage and increased functionality. A new spacious glass shower enclosure now takes the place of the old whirpool tub and adjacent shower stall, and new large-format vein-cut Bruno Corteccia tiles cover the floor in style. Together, these high-quality features turn a basic bathroom into a dream retreat.
