Q & A – How can I filter out ultraviolet (UV) rays to protect my furniture and artwork?
A: In addition to providing insulation, solar heat control, and daylighting, window coverings can also help control harmful UV radiation. UV exposure causes natural, undyed fabrics to turn yellow, weakening their fibers and making them look old and worn prematurely. Window coverings can be very effective in blocking UV rays. Most Hunter Douglas products block over 95% of harmful UV rays when fully closed.
