Q & A – Why is my air conditioner blowing out hot air?
A: There are several reasons your air conditioner may not be circulating cool air. One of these could be dirty filter and or dirty coils. The collection of dust and dirt on the filter and or coils over time prevents them from doing their job. Low coolant levels could also be the culprit. Coolant does not typically need to be replaced, so if your levels are low, there is likely a leak somewhere in your system. Finally, the condenser and compressor located in your exterior unit can become clogged from exposure to dirt, leaves, and other debris.
