A Princess Bedroom Design That Grows With Your Child
When Bryce turned 4 years old, her parents decided it was time to give her a room that reflected not only her sparkling personality, but also her growing needs. The result? A dreamy and whimsical “big girl” bedroom called the Princess Palace—a space where imagination, play and style come together seamlessly.
The undisputed star of the room is the custom house-shaped loft bed from Pottery Barn Kids. “I wanted to take advantage of the high ceilings with the loft bed, without forcing two beds in the space,” Amber Guyton, owner of Blessed Little Bungalow, shared. “I love it because it gives Bryce an instant fort and playhouse for her to entertain herself and friends.”
The bed’s playful design opened up valuable floor space, making room for cozy tea parties, art projects and endless adventures. “This isn’t your typical little girl’s room,” Guyton explained. “Each element plays well with the next, with a growing girl that will be in the room for years to come in mind.”
To enhance the magical feel of the room, the walls were painted a sweet pastel pink, while the ceiling was wallpapered with a starry metallic print. “The tray ceiling felt regal, and we wanted to take advantage of it,” she said. Nearly three years later, it’s still Bryce’s favorite place to be. “The young four-year-old that was gifted the space for her birthday still loves every inch of it,” Guyton noted. “She has a great time entertaining her friends… but also spending time alone.”
We think this princess is ready to be queen.
