Den Renovation by Moisan Remodeling Inc., Dallas

With a new dining space that is large enough to seat every member of their family comfortably, the owners of this Dallas-area home wanted not only to update their den as well, but also open it up into the elegant dining room and the newly renovated adjacent kitchen. They brought in the experts from Moisan Remodeling Inc., who began by creating arched openings between the spaces to allow traffic to flow easily from room to room. The arches also produce the feeling of one large space while still allowing each room to function independently. In addition, to truly connect the rooms, Moisan included custom built-in cabinets as an entertainment unit in the design and positioned the television so that it can be viewed from either the kitchen or the den, enabling someone in the kitchen to watch the big screen while cooking. To complete the remodel, the design team infused the space with a variety of special and sophisticated features, including a rich and warm color scheme, new flooring and a custom-built fireplace and mantle. The finished product has delighted the family and earned Moisan a coveted National Association of the Remodeling Industry CotY Award in the Interior Remodel Under $100,000 category.
