Appliance Find in Atlanta Kitchen Showroom

As we all know, many of our design trends originate in Europe. Their simple and convenient layouts always make me think, “Why didn’t I think of that? It’s just so smart.” As I travel in and out of kitchen and bath showrooms in Atlanta, there is always a new secret to uncover, just like today when I visited with Gary Tilson of the Fusion Design Group on Miami Circle. As he was telling me about upcoming showroom events to be held this spring, he introduced me to the Fagor Appliance line.

From the induction cooktop to the sleek refrigerator, I was impressed with the smart and functional design. But the one appliance that stood out most was the washer/dryer combination that not only combines these functions but also only takes up 24 inches in space. This is the European way—maximum performance with minimal space. Gary explained that 27 inches is more traditional in the United States, but that the 24-inch trend is catching on here.
