Backyard Escape

Yearning for a backyard she could escape to after a long, hard day, the owner of this North Dallas home was ready to give some much-needed attention to an outdoor space that had been neglected by the previous owner. She hired Bob Streiff of Precision Pavers in Plano to take on the project and give her the backyard she’d been hoping for. During a number of pre-renovation meetings, Streiff worked with the homeowner to select the type of wall materials, colors and the shape of the pavers. Faced with a number of existing elevation and drainage issues, Streiff and his team installed small walls to correct the slope from the alley to the backyard. The walls also added different elevations and dimensions to the flowerbeds, ultimately creating more interest with varying heights of plants. The Precision Pavers team also enhanced the nighttime look of the backyard with exterior lighting both in the flowerbeds and in the trees, which created a moon-light effect. In the end, the homeowner added 750 square feet of living space to her home and has a beautiful patio and flowerbed to escape to after work and to use for entertaining on weekends.
