BEFORE

Built in 1996, this Apex home’s original kitchen featured cabinets and countertops that were too small in scale, outdated and stark white, making the kitchen feel sterile, utilitarian and lacking in warmth and luxury. The pros at Eastern Remodeling & Cabinet Refacing brought this kitchen from boring to beautiful by replacing the small white cabinets and countertops, building a butler pantry cabinet and wine rack and extending the cabinets a foot higher. They also installed cherry wood raised-panel cabinet doors and drawer fronts in a honey color with brown glaze, veneered the sides and fronts and added raised panels on the ends of the cabinets and island. New countertops of 3-centimeter granite in Giallo Napolean with decorative ogee edges were installed along with a stainless steel double-bowl sink with a Danze Opulence pullout faucet in an oil-rubbed bronze finish to complement the new, modern stove, refrigerator and other appliances. Under-cabinet LED puck lighting illuminates task areas, and premium knobs and pulls in a dark antique copper finish by Jeffrey Alexander tie the look together, bringing warmth and sophistication to this modern and luxurious kitchen.
