Q: Do I need to use a lateral drain system for my basement?

A: Typically a sump pump or a perimeter drain system will take care of the bulk of the water collected under the foundation and drain it outside. A lateral drain is needed when there is heavy flooding coming through floor cracks in your basement. An inspection from a licensed drainage professional can help you identify whether or not your home needs additional drainage.
