Located in Minneapolis, this Minnesota GreenStar-certified home was designed to be as beautiful as it is energy-efficient. The existing home was deconstructed by hand to reuse and recycle materials. The new home features a metal roof, James Hardie siding, Marvin windows, a geothermal heating and cooling system, water-conserving fixtures and ENERGY STAR-certified appliances. Also incorporated into the new home’s design was recycled materials, locally quarried stone, FSC-certified wood, Marmoleum flooring and a landscape that features native plants and rain gardens.
