After years of tolerating an inefficient, outdated laundry and powder room, these Lake Forest homeowners were ready to make a change, but wanted to make sure they didn’t leave a large footprint in the process. Their new laundry and powder rooms are nearly 100-percent eco-friendly, featuring floor made from recycled slate roofing tiles, low-VOC paint, ESP-certified cabinetry, hardware made from recycled material, seagrass rugs, a high-efficiency washer and dryer and more. The new space also includes an area for bathing their two dogs.
