Hardscape Your Yard

Looking at my back yard today, I realize that there are some areas where the grass will not grow back, either because it has totally washed away with all the rain or because the trees have grown over the years and sun no longer reaches that area. So, what to do? Do I put a small waterfall spilling down to a pond to take advantage of the obvious slope in the yard? That is probably chomping off more than I can chew. Do I just put down pine straw? Or do I create beauty with hardscapes that do not require sun?

Lucky for me, Eric King of King Landscaping is teaching a class this Sat., March 12 at 11a.m., titled, “Taking the Mystery Out of Hardscaping Your Yard.” I will be running over to the Mosaic Group to learn about using hardscapes in my yard and all the options hardscapes provide. I am the first to tell you that I have no green thumb, so maybe this is my landscape solution. I will let you know what Eric shares with us next week, so come back to our blog if you are having the same problems in your yard. Or better yet, come join me on Saturday.
