Home and Garden Events Around Atlanta April 26-May 2, 2013

Looking for something to do this weekend or in the coming week? Spring in Atlanta is full of home and garden events to enjoy, including many that are taking place in the next week. For starters, this is the first weekend the 2013 Atlanta Symphony Decorator's Show House & Gardens will be open. The show house features 18,000 square feet of professionally designed spaces and all proceeds benefit Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Education & Community. It will be open through May 12.

The 2013 Inman Park Festival and Home Tour also will be held this weekend, April 26-28. The event features music, kids activities, a tour of homes, a street parade, an artists’ market and more in one of Atlanta's historic neighborhoods.

Looking to remodel your kitchen? You'll want to catch the Junior League of Dekalb's Tour of Kitchens April 27, 2013. There will be a chef demonstration in addition to touring the kitchens, which are all located in the Decatur area. Continue your foodie adventure Sunday, April 28, at the Taste of Marietta on Marietta Square, where you can sample some of the city's best dishes.

Then, homeowners and design professionals alike are invited to Coverings, The Ultimate Tile + Stone Experience, which is in Atlanta for the first time at the Georgia World Congress Center Monday, April 29, through Thursday, May 2. Attendees will learn about the latest tile and stone trends and products at the trade show and during educational seminars offered throughout the event.
