SPECIALTY: Designing and Building Custom Decks

“With our projects, our clients come first,” said Frank Pologruto, owner of Decks & More. “Our goal is lots of communication. Then, together, we bring those ideas to life and design a plan that best suits their needs.”

In the case of this project, a nine-month, $500,000 custom build, those needs were a lot of fun to dream up and even more fun to carry out.

“My favorite part about this project is that it has so many levels,” said Pologruto.

“You’ve got the upper-level porch with a tongue-and-groove ceiling and gorgeous wood plank tiles, then you’ve got the large flagstone steps leading down to the lower-level patio. Even lower, you have this amazing firepit and a kidney-shaped pool with the sun shelf built right into it. Then, you’ve got a phenomenal outdoor kitchen and seating area. It’s really breathtaking, especially when you walk through it firsthand.”

For Pologruto, any successful project starts and ends with the people he partners with, and this project truly stacked the deck (pun intended).

Atlantis Pool & Spa designed and installed the resort-style, multi-level pool and hot tub, while Crawford Landscaping unified the entire space with a landscape design concept featuring tailored hardscape and green space to create organic flow from one area to the next from the second these homeowners step outside.

Perhaps the best part, these homeowners dreamed of having a staycation destination in their own backyard. Now, they have that space to invite all the people they want to spend it with, any time of day, any time of the year.

Frank Pologruto has been making backyard dreams come true for more than
two decades. His team has earned more than 120 design awards and remains at the top of the industry using the latest trends, talent and building codes. He is a professional member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) and he’s donated more than $250,000 to area churches and charities, further driving the point that, in any project, people are most important.
