How did you get your start in the home industry?
The root source of my career inspiration comes from my father, Abdy Derakhshan, who owned a successful home building company. I always enjoyed being outdoors and once he saw how well we were managing small projects in high school, he helped me get to the next level by connecting me with Oscar, who owned a large landscaping company. As I helped Oscar run his company, he helped me develop my own business as a premium outdoor living space service.

How do you approach your craft in a way that is different than those who came before you?
Our approach to outdoor design is to understand the client’s overall goals that led them to invite us to their home to design their dream spaces. We take care into understanding their end results and expectations of their new outdoor spaces. We take pride in creating value in a number of unique ways.
