When Barry Levesque bought a foreclosed home in Roswell he knew it was going to need a little work. To begin improving it, he focused his efforts on the dining room.

Before

Sticking to the budget of $1,000, Barry was able to give the dining room a contemporary makeover, including:

  • a table from Z Gallerie at 60% off
  • six chairs from Overstock.com
  • two end chairs he already owned
  • some artwork he painted and hung in frames from Home Goods
  • a large mirror he already owned, for which he made inexpensive cleats to hang
  • sideboard from Home Decorators Collection purchased at 20% off

AfterAfter completing the transformation, Barry submitted the project in our “Decorating on a Dime” Contest in hopes of winning a $1,500 home improvement prize package and being featured in Atlanta Home Improvement magazine’s February 2012 issue.
