This bonus room is all about color.
The room was designed to be open, airy, bright and functional. It had to accommodate a couple of large game tables and have an open space for the occasional batting practice, race track or truck derby. The rug was the inspiration for the design of the room. Its deep blue background and bright-colored boxes was the starting point of the transformation. The vaulted ceiling and large walls had to pop, so square boxes were framed and painted to give the room a unique, distinctive yet playful feel. Space planning and determining the utilization of the room were the key to its success. The small details made a world of difference.
