Q & A – How do I know what waterproofing system will work best for my basement?
A: Water that enters a basement through or underneath a poured concrete or block foundation wall can usually be resolved with either an interior or exterior waterproofing system. Exterior systems involve excavating and replacing the original foundation drain. Interior systems involve developing a trench from inside the home and providing a pathway for water flow under the basement slab. Most customers prefer the lower cost and lifetime warranty of the interior system, while others prefer to simply manage the water from the exterior.
