Q & A – I’m remodeling my bathroom. What tile types would you recommend?
.
A: Ceramic and porcelain are the most popular types of bathroom tile. They are often economical, durable, and come in an enormous variety of colors and styles. Natural stone (travertine, marble, etcetera) is more expensive but also a popular choice. Many homeowners are now using stone tiles on their bathroom floors and walls, creating a sumptuous home spa look in the bathroom. Be aware that natural stone requires special maintenance products and periodic sealing. River rock, pebbles, and geometric mosaics are popular choices for the shower floor.
