How to Clean Fiber Cement Siding
Q: How should I clean fiber cement siding, and how often should I do it?
A: I recommend cleaning fiber cement siding once a year or every other year. I would use a 50/50 solution of bleach and water or a solution of 90% water and 10% Simple Green® All-Purpose Cleaner. Soft wash the house. Don’t put a lot of pressure on it. Let the chemicals do the work. I also recommend using a soft bristle brush like you would use on your car to lightly clean the windows, then rinse them with a hose, so there’s no risk of blowing any seals.
