The Best of Both Worlds— Indoors and Outdoors
Sunroom and screened-porch addition by Creative Design Builders, (919) 803-4002, www.creativedesignbuildersnc.com
Most Southern homeowners relish the thought of an outdoor living area where they can spend summer nights grilling hot dogs. But while the Wake Forest empty nesters that own this home wanted that sought-after outdoor luxury, they also knew they needed additional indoor living space for the children and grandchildren who would be coming to visit. Creative Design Builders was able to bring their vision to life with a sunroom attached to their master bedroom, and a screened porch for additional dining space.
In completing the project, the pros at Creative Design Builders incorporated the two new roofs, the gable and shed into the existing roof, streamlining the home’s outdoor appearance. In the sunroom, custom glass paneling, skylights, a ceiling fan, wicker furniture and frosted porcelain tiles make for a breezy, light-filled space perfect for hosting. White French doors were also installed, and on the walls of the screened porch, a TWP 1500 stain was applied to highlight the wood grain. The interior spaces came out looking welcoming and elegant, but Creative Design Builders didn’t forget about the most important part: they attached an open deck to the screened-in porch, where the homeowners can enjoy their grill, company and, of course, warm summer evenings.
