To celebrate and promote Atlanta’s ever-growing presence in the film industry, To The Trade, a company that focuses on creating liaisons within creative communities, is holding The Next Cool Thing event on Jan. 14-16 at 1235 Chattahoochee Ave. in Atlanta.

Interior designers, film industry art department professionals, builders, suppliers and local manufacturers will converge for three days to showcase a compilation of vignettes, each designed around movie and television themes, including Sex and the City, Avatar, Down With Love and more, all within more than 90,000 square feet of creative collaboration.

The purpose of the event is to showcase local talent and resources for building the infrastructure of the growing film and television industry, which was spurred by the recent 30-percent tax incentives for Georgia. “We realized the need to bring the creative communities together to introduce them to each other when Craig Miller of the Georgia Production Partnership and I discussed the perception that the state is lacking adequate resources to accommodate new business being generated here from Los Angeles and New York,” said Barbara English, CEO of To the Trade.

Event organizers are expecting an impressive turnout, complete with local and national celebrities! Visit www.nextcoolthingevent.com for tickets, prices and times.
