Starting from the “studs up” as a project manager with Exovations, Wes Peavy learned the ins and outs of construction, craftsmanship and, most importantly, how to deliver an unmatched client experience from the beginning. After a few years, he felt the pull to grow and delivered the news to an unsurprised boss, who predicted from day one that Peavy was meant for sales. He went from “construction guy” to redefining the industry standard for what a customer’s experience looks like, with the principle that he doesn’t just sell remodeling—he lives it, and that helps him bring their vision to life.

What sets you apart from other sales professionals in this industry?
Wes Peavy: I operate with one simple philosophy: do right by people. Whether it’s a full-scale transformation or a small update, I treat each project as if it were my own home. Honesty, responsiveness and doing what I say I’ll do—those are non-negotiables. I don’t think it’s about being different from anybody else, but rather about being consistent.

Who has influenced you most in your career?
WP: I’ve had incredible mentors who’ve helped shape my approach to leadership, customer care and continuous growth. I show up every day ready to learn, ready to listen and ready to serve. The Marines taught me never to settle—and that mindset hasn’t left me.

What inspires you in your job?
WP: I love seeing a house become a home again. Whether it’s fixing structural issues or helping someone fall in love with their curb appeal, it’s powerful work. Every home we touch carries someone’s story, and it’s an honor to help write the next chapter for them.

What piece of advice would you share with others coming up in your craft?
WP: In remodeling, I’ve found a craft that gives back tenfold—emotionally, financially and spiritually. Love what you do. It’s your fuel. Then, build your brand on trust. Integrity doesn’t just make you memorable, it makes you reliable. In this industry, people remember who showed up, who followed through and who told the truth when it wasn’t easy. Be that person.
