What is Low-E glass and why is it important?
A: Low-E stands for low emissivity, and it refers to extremely thin metallic coatings that are applied to glass panes in windows and doors, boosting their energy efficiency and blocking out UV rays. They work by directing the heat back to its source. So in the winter, the Low-E keeps the heat inside your home, and in the summer, the Low-E helps keep the heat outside your home.
