What is NARI?

As you begin planning a remodeling project, one of the biggest questions is where to start. Who do you call to begin the process? How can you find a quality contractor to walk you through the entire project? That’s when turning to a professional organization such as the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) can be helpful.

In the Know
With more than 50 years of remodeling industry experience, NARI is a not-for-profit trade association made up of qualified remodeling professionals you can call upon to discuss your designer dreams, remodeling wants and particular needs.

Using a NARI member for your home-improvement project can give you peace of mind. The members have passed a rigorous application process including background checks, insurance verification, client-reference checks and a fair contract agreement.

Code of Ethics
NARI has an Ethics Committee dedicated to making sure clients are being treated fairly by NARI members. So, when you see the NARI logo, you know the company has agreed to a set of ethical standards.

Education and Certification
NARI members have access to the latest information in the industry through publications, educational programs, educational seminars and conferences.

The association’s certification program is designed to establish professional standards for the remodeling industry and improve products and services for customers. Certification provides special recognition to those contractors who have demonstrated a high level of competency and ethical standards.
