2020 Kitchen & Bath Design Contest: Erin Marshall

1) What got you into design? Design became my passion once my husband and I purchased our home in 2011. Being in a builder grade foreclosure, our home needed lots of love and my love for design and decorating was born. 

2) How long have you been doing your own projects? Since 2012

3) What was the most challenging part of this design? Pacing it and allowing my inspiration and ideas to come to life!

4) What did you want to accomplish with this design? I wanted it to be a fresh and welcoming space. 

5) Did you try something you haven’t before with this design, like tiling or placing cabinets? I have never installed shiplap, so that was new for me. I also had never installed a new sink countertop. 

6) What was your inspiration for this project? Bringing life into an otherwise drab space. 

7) Please list three manufacturers of pieces in your design (lighting, cabinets, tile, vanity, etc).– vendors unknown

8) What is the square footage of this design (it doesn’t have to be exact you can estimate)? Approx 100 sq ft.  

9) If you did this project again, what would you do differently? I would have done it sooner! No, I love the space and wouldn’t change anything about it.
