Modern Expert Q&A: Elayne DeLeo
In celebration of the upcoming MA Architecture Tour, we thought we'd ask a few experts…
"How can Atlanta homeowners easily inject a bit of "modern" into their home?"
Elayne DeLeo of Modern Atlanta offers this suggestion:
Invest in pieces that are timeless and have pedigree. Buy what you can afford but focus on quality and original design. A whimsical and affordable corkscrew from Alessi, or a practical Corner Cabinet by Keiji Ashizawi for IKEA’s PS line all can add modernity to a home, almost as much as an expensive Eames chair can!
It’s also important to think of the future and environmental issues when you purchase furniture and home accessories.
I guarantee you will not see thoughtfully designed and quality pieces in your local landfill anytime soon. And that’s good for everyone!
