A Pool Paradise Landscape Makeover
After putting the finishing touches on our April issue, which includes our annual pools and spas feature, my mind is on summertime. To quench my thirst for some pool-side sunshine, I thought I’d post one of my favorite before-and-after landscape transformations for today’s makeover project.
The backyard of this Sandy Springs home was completely transformed by Alpharetta-based Outside Landscape Group. While the home itself was striking both in size and design, the large, vacant yard left much to the imagination. Here are a few before photos:
The goal of the makeover was to give the homeowner an oversized outdoor living space for entertaining large groups of family and friends. With a budget of around $200,000, the team at Outside Landscape Group was able to transform the barren landscape into a tropical haven.
Outside Landscape Group also installed a free-form pool with an oversized spa and waterfall, and topped it off with fire bowls and palm trees. To make it even more of a luxury setup, they installed a covered, swim-up bar, complete with an outdoor kitchen and bathroom.
And so the homeowners could enjoy their new landscape all year, the crew installed large evergreen trees to provide privacy from neighbors and layers of flowering plants designed for year-round color and enjoyment.
