This Lake Forest home’s owner is an artist who craved a quiet space to paint in peace. Choosing an unused extra bedroom, she hired Michelle Pelech and Keely Myslinski of Chelle Design Group to make over the space. The team created a polished area with lots of positive energy by painting a neutral backdrop enhanced by colorful pops in the furniture, fabric and accessories. The closet was customized with shelves and drawers for all of the owner’s arts and crafts supplies, and because the room belonged entirely to the wife of the couple who own the home, the room has a feminine feel that is fresh and clean—a perfect, quiet retreat to escape from the hustle and bustle of life with kids.
