Enjoy The Outdoors with Help From The Georgia Glamping Company

During a beach vacation in February 2018, Rebeka and Nathan Self realized their family was more focused on the technology in their hotel room than the stunning scenery around them. It was then that the parents of two girls decided a special camping trip was in order.

In preparation for the excursion, the couple thought back to their international travels and the glamping tents they’d heard about. After not being able to find the upscale option locally, the duo created Georgia Glamping Company to offer deluxe destination campsites to help bring families closer to nature, and each other, without having to “rough it.”

A little over a month after their trip to Florida, the Selfs got to work. They thoughtfully researched the best materials and items to include in their first glamping tent. Their home away from home looked much like what you see today.

Rebeka took on the task of designing the lush and welcoming interiors, drawing inspiration from local favorites. “We were largely influenced by The Hotel at Avalon and Passion City Church. Taking the same spirit of excellence and hospitality and incorporating it into our design,” she remarks. “The majority of the furniture and accessories in our tents are purchased in Forsyth County and we are always on the lookout for new items.”

Beyond Instagram-worthy décor, you can also expect plenty of amenities, from a Keurig® coffee maker and minifridge to heat, air conditioning, and memory foam beds. “We constantly get asked about our sheets! We went through multiple trials before we settled on what we use now. Made from 100% double-brushed microfiber fabric, they are light to the touch, cool, and have exceptional strength,” says Nathan.

we love smart solutions!
The 100% industrial-grade cotton exterior keeps out harmful ultraviolet rays and stabilizes the interior temperature. In addition, the treated fabric ensures the tent stays dry in case of inclement weather.
