Cleaning Your Teak Furniture is Simple!
Categories: Blog
Cleaning teak furniture is easier than people expect! Often, customers don’t believe how easy it is to restore quality teak items to a healthy glow. Of course, we are assuming you are starting with quality teak–if the raw material in your product was inferior, lacked the high natural oil content and density of true premium teak, then you may have to try other methods. Remember, do not use sealers, finishes or stains! If you want to achieve a darker brown color on your furniture, we advise using teak oil.
The method to cleaning your teak furniture is this simple:
- Grab abucket and mix mild soap and lukewarm water, and a non-scratch Scotch Brite sponge or soft brush• Gently scrub your furniture
- Rinse with clean water and throughly dry with towel
- This table only took 10 minutes to clean, making cleaning your teak furniture a simple DIY weekend project!
Below is an example of a before and after premium teak coffee table that has not been cleaned for a long time.
