In Curt Byrd’s role at The Providence Group, teamwork and relationship building are key. He brings a unique set of skills in problem-solving, construction and flexible enthusiasm to get the job done, and he doesn’t stop until the goals are reached. While he continues to stay ahead of trends, learning new trades and networking with builders to maintain traditional values, he’s been able to develop and introduce modern execution within every task. It’s paid off, landing him on several local boards and sought after for his professional acumen.

Who inspires you in your line of work?
Curt Byrd: My boss, Tatiana Veres, has taught me it’s OK to have professional drive and show it to get the job done—whether it’s answering a call when you’re off, staying late or not being afraid to reach out directly. She helps guide our team no matter what to make this the best team it can be, and that is something to aspire to at the end of the day.

What project has inspired you the most?
CB: Projects where I can help others lead to the most fulfillment, which is why The Providence Group regularly partners with St. Jude for the Atlanta Dream Home Program. In the last two years, we’ve helped raise almost $3.5 million, contributing by ordering windows and doors and getting the word out to raise ticket sales, of which proceeds support their mission of children’s cancer research and helping cover patient treatment costs and more.
