You have your vision of what your new kitchen and/or bathroom is going to look like—beautiful fixtures, the latest and greatest gadgets technology has to offer, and a trendy design. You are ready to hire a contractor to make your unique vision come true. Then, slowly, you start to realize the hundreds of choices you make will be permanent. Any mistakes will directly impact your entire budget. Suddenly, this entire process has gone from fun to fatiguing.

The best way to ensure your vision comes together with the products you want and on budget is to hire a certified kitchen and/or bath designer from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Georgia Chapter. These experts are highly trained, specifically in kitchen and bathroom design, and can even work with your contractor on your behalf to ensure that everything the contractor does is up to code.

Another benefit of working with the NKBA certified designer is that he or she can put your vision on paper. They’ll ask the tough questions you may not have thought of to make your vision something you can be proud of for years to come. Plus, if you have ever walked into a tile or appliance showroom, you know the amount of product choices can be daunting. But it will be less intimidating when you have someone who can bring you a handful of selections, weeding through the madness for you to find what works best for your space and budget.

Are you designing this space with your spouse? The NKBA certified designer can help get you past the stalemates you may encounter and truly help figure out the best design for you both. The majority of kitchen and bath designers have pricing packages that work with a variety of budgets and can typically get you more bang for your buck.

Visit NKBA.org to interview several designers and find the right one for your family and your vision. To learn even more about the Georgia Chapter of NKBA check out our Facebook Live video with NKBA members Shannon and Trudy here!
