For a Wake Forest home built in 2008, Raleigh-based designer Sally L. Williams envisioned the master bedroom carrying through the home’s contemporary style and highlighting its beautiful views overlooking a golf course. Williams’s airy design of the room complements the tall windows’ panorama of the trees and golf greens. She chose natural woven wood shades from WoodMASTER Window Fashions in Raleigh and added light-colored sheers to the window treatments with hundreds of ribbons that she tied and sewed on herself. The wall design offers a shimmering reflective quality that was achieved through the use of Ralph Lauren’s Candlelight finish over the existing paint. The bedding was designed by Williams and custom made by Quality Designs by Olivene, accented with several small pillows found at local shops. The original artwork is by artist Willie Green-Aldridge. On a beautiful North Carolina night, this bedroom is the perfect retreat for dreaming and star-gazing.
