FLOR has made carpet fun again. If you’re not familiar with the product, FLOR modular carpet tiles come in a variety of colors, patterns and textures and can be arranged in area rug sizes or as wall-to-wall carpet. The company just opened its fourth retail store location in Atlanta in the Westside Provisions District on Howell Mill Road and celebrated with a grand opening event last month, where I got to chat with FLOR vice president and creative director Chip DeGrace.

Chip and I discussed the myriad of design options available with FLOR as well as the latest trends in carpet. It seems there is a FLOR for everyone. Parents and pet owners enjoy FLOR because they can replace soiled or damaged carpet tiles easily and inexpensively. Plus, the carpet tiles are available in bold, kid-friendly shades and eyecatching patterns such as this:FLOR

Young professionals, I’m sure, will delight in FLOR’s trendy geometric prints that introduce pops of color into the living space without getting too crazy:FLORgeometric

I thought of my mom when I saw this more traditional FLOR pattern in pale blue–so classic!

FLORTraditionalWalking through the new Atlant FLOR showroom was more like visiting an art gallery, except you could touch these masterpieces. In fact, FLOR’s latest collection, Floresse, with a more plush pile, is all about the touch and feel that only carpet can provide. You can get design ideas and begin building a FLOR for your own space at FLOR.com.
