Inside Aimee Copeland’s New, Accessible Living Space
Categories: Blog
After hearing the story of Aimee Copeland, the 24 year-old Snellville woman who lost her limbs to a flesh-eating disease in May, a group of local building contractors led by Pulte Homes and The Home Depot joined together to give her an unforgettable homecoming. The team created “Aimee’s Wing”, a new two-story, 1,956 square-foot addition to Copeland’s childhood home that includes an easily accessible bedroom, bathroom, study area and more. Improvements such as a kitchen remodel and an exterior facelift were also done on the original home, which is connected to Aimee’s Wing by an elevator.
