Makeover of the Month – Let the Light Shine In _ 0411
The owners of this Sandy Springs home wanted to update their builder-grade kitchen to open space for their busy family of five and bring more light into the room. The team at Kitchen Transitions Atlanta moved the breakfast table into the dining room, making it the new breakfast space, and moved the dining room into the former living room. To allow more light and open up the space, the team created a large pass-through in the form of an arched window.
An island that directs traffic away from the cooking area was added and features a stainless under-mount sink, trash pullout, wine cube and a bookshelf on the end. Now, the family has a place to gather, and the kids have a designated area for homework.
