Michelle Schiessle understands the importance of designing homes that are not only stylish but functional and family-friendly. As a mother with young children, her real-life experience inspired her to co-found Dimora Designs with her sister in 2021 so that she could help clients create spaces that blend creativity and functionality and to transform their spaces with purpose and style.

How do you approach your craft uniquely?
Michelle Schiessle: At Dimora Designs, we believe great design goes beyond appearances—it should work beautifully for real life. Our goal isn’t just to make spaces look nice, but to ensure they truly support the way you live and work.

What advice would you give to others working to make an impact on their industry?
MS: My advice to others is to be intentional when building brand recognition. It’s not just about having a great product or service—it’s about putting yourself out there. Network with purpose. Every connection, collaboration and conversation is an opportunity to grow your presence, making your brand unforgettable.

What do you wish more people knew about your particular industry?
MS: Interior designers are often seen as an extra—something nice to have, but not essential. However, we are critical to the renovation process. Contractors frequently juggle multiple projects, and communication can get lost in the shuffle. We help navigate the details and manage expectation.
