Modern Atlanta Hosts Design Events June 3-10, 2013

Modern Atlanta's 2013 "Design Is Human" Week kicks off June 3 with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Georgia Chapter Vanguard Speaker Series featuring John Picard, AIA, of John Picard & Associates, and John Edelman, president of Design Within Reach. Picard and Edelman will discuss new ideas and developments in design at the Rich Theater at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta. Another highlight is the June 6 launch of Modern Atlanta's "Design Is Material" exhibition at The Sound Table/Space 2 in Atlanta, which will be open through June 8. The exhibition focuses on new and innovative building materials as well as modern design service providers. A panel discussion moderated by Susan Szenasy, editor in chief of Metropolis magazine, will be held in the exhibition space on June 6. On the evening of June 7 at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC), there will be a design exhibition and modern Atlanta home tour launch event.
