Q & A – How much water can you save with low-flow toilets/showers?
A: Saving you up to 12.2 gallons of water a day, low-flow toilets use around 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf), whereas older toilets commonly use 3.5 to 7 gpf. Low-flow showerheads are also a worthwhile investment, using around 2 gallons per minute (gpm) compared to the 3 or 4 gpm of older showerheads. Over the course of a 10-minute shower, this can save you 10 to 20 gallons!
