Q & A – Is there an easy way to keep my tile and grout clean?
A: There are a number of “tile and surface cleaners” that will do the trick on soap scum and mineral deposits, but they all require some elbow grease. Mildew is the biggest problem. A well-designed shower can minimize this nuisance by allowing the space to dry out after use. Showers should be properly ventilated with an overhead vent fan and all surfaces, especially the shower curb, should slope in toward the drain to prevent water from pooling against the shower walls or shower door.
