Bathroom renovation by Home Revision, 104 W. Main St., Clayton, NC 27520, (919) 631-0557, www.myhomerevision.com

Home Revision’s crew was challenged with turning the tiny, dimly lit bathroom in this 1980s two-story house in Cary into a sunny and spacious modern bathroom. “The homeowner wanted a more open and bright bathroom, but had a restricted budget and needed to keep the footprint of the existing bath,” says Jaimie Jones, owner of Home Revision. Jones and her team went to work removing the texture ceiling and bulkhead and installing a vanity topped with a tall cabinet for storage and accented by a wall mirror with new lights. A frameless glass shower enclosure and recessed lighting opens up and brightens the space. The maple cabinets from Artistic Cabinetry in Raleigh feature an Espresso finish and pulls from Restoration Hardware in Raleigh. The beveled-edge Caesarstone counter is topped with a hand-painted vessel sink and accented by a hand-painted ceramic-tile mural that was imported from Jerusalem. This remodeled bathroom is now modern and inviting with artistic accents and a bright aesthetic.
