Cristi Holcombe Interiors | Cristi Holcombe | CristiHolcombe.com
From rearranging her furniture as a kid to bursting onto the design scene in 2009, Cristi Holcombe, principal designer and owner of Cristi Holcombe Interiors, has always had a clear vision. The same could be said for the owners of this home, a culinary couple yearning for a chef’s oasis that is calm and uncluttered. A neutral theme was chosen with various textures (think handmade glass convex subway tile backsplash) providing visual intrigue. The kitchen’s focal point is a custom metal vent hood, which showcases the functionality of a professional kitchen melded with breathtaking design. Attention to detail was given—the owners specifically requested that two leaded glass windows from their previous home be included in the design. Hence, Holcombe carefully incorporated the reclaimed items into the butler’s pantry. This contemporary kitchen strikes the perfect balance between past and present.

Designs by BSB | BeckySue Becker, CMKBD, CAPS | DesignsByBSB.com
Blending clean lines and warm woods, BeckySue Becker, owner and principal designer of Designs by BSB, crafted this spa getaway for a couple craving a relaxing refuge. The design veteran utilized her more than 25 years of experience to completely reimagine the outdated bathroom. Removing the linen closet and downsizing the vanity, she created space for a sauna and luxe shower with multiple showerheads. Recovering any lost storage space, elegant solutions like recessed medicine cabinets and a custom vanity provide places for toiletries and more. Becker, a certified aging-in-place specialist, also included details such as a curbless shower with grab bars and a teak bench so the duo can enjoy their retreat for years to come.

Schuon Kitchens and Baths | Marc Tyson | SKBI.com
This kitchen has been the heart of this family home for several generations. The only issue? The sentimental space wasn’t cutting it when it came to aesthetics and functionality. Enter Marc Tyson, a designer at Schuon Kitchens and Baths who has more than 35 years of remodeling experience. In an effort to help the growing family update and better utilize the space, Tyson relocated the fridge, created a “tall wall” with the pantry, and gave the kitchen an overall lighter feel with white cabinets and quartz countertops. A must-have for the homeowners was to preserve the history of the husband’s family. With that in mind, his grandmother’s flour sifter, which sits in a dedicated corner, is still used today to whip up biscuits from scratch. Now, this kitchen has all the right ingredients for creating even more memories.
