What is safety-tempered shower glass?
Tempered “safety glass” is glass that has been heated up in an oven and then quickly cooled or “quenched” in water. This causes the outer molecules to pull tightly inward, making the glass extremely strong and very difficult to break. If the glass ever does break, it will break into thousands of very small pieces, not large shards that can cause injury. These attributes make tempered glass ideal for use in showers, around doorways or in any other high-traffic areas.
