What should Atlanta homeowners be doing now, in March, with their windows?

Ted Kirk of North Georgia Replacement Windows, Inc. replies: “Inspect your windows carefully. Check for gaps, where you can see daylight coming through or feel air leaking.
Also check for condensation or fogging between the panes of double pane glass.
Check for wood rot on windows, doors or the surrounding trim. Make sure the caulking around windows, doors and trim is not breaking down. Single pane windows should be replaced because they are not energy efficient and they usually require extensive maintenance, including glazing and painting. (By the way, single pane windows have not met building codes in Atlanta since 2004!)"
