Design Duel is a Win-Win

Organizers of the 35th Annual Spring Atlanta Home Show, held March 22-24, 2013, at Cobb Galleria Centre, are calling the event a great success after breaking previous attendance records. “What an exciting three days with nearly 400 Georgia companies actively engaging in business with tens of thousands of homeowners,” says Michael Schoppenhorst, show director. “It was our most highly attended Spring Atlanta Home Show ever at the Cobb Galleria. This much activity reaffirms our belief that homeowners are ready to invest in their homes through a variety of home improvement projects.”

In addition to the opportunity to shop a variety of home improvement companies in one place, attendees enjoyed guest speakers, product demonstrations, giveaways and more. Jason and Jeff, of Atlanta, won lunch and a review of their remodeling plans with show headliner Jeff Devlin, a licensed contractor and the host of DIY Network’s “I Hate My Bath” and “Good, Better… Best”.

In addition, Jesus I., of Douglasville, won the show’s Grand Prize drawing for a kitchen from IKEA, which is shown in the photo below.

The Red Hare Backyard Beer Garden, which raised money and awareness for HOPE Atlanta, the programs of Travelers Aid, an organization that is dedicated to preventing homelessness in our community, proved so successful that it ran out of beer for the first time ever.

At the Atlanta Home Improvement booth, we handed out thousands of copies of our April 2013 issue along with our 2013 Kitchen & Bath Planner and 2013 Landscape Planner. We enjoyed meeting so many of our readers and hearing how much they enjoy reading the magazine.
