9 Breathtaking Bedrooms and Bathrooms
These envy-inducing personal sanctuaries catapult the concept of self-care into the stratosphere. High-end materials were mixed with affordable décor to give these spaces the luxurious feel of a five-star hotel while keeping the designs budget-friendly.
Serene Sanctuary
This Johns Creek bed and bath was designed with peace, quiet, and high-end hotel luxury as the foundation. “The layers of texture and color were selected to create a serene respite for two busy corporate executives,” Katherine Sapp of Dove Studio Kitchen & Bath says.
The bathroom was completely redesigned and incorporates custom cabinetry from Shiloh Cabinetry and heated floors in Carrara Estatuario from the Classtone Collection by Neolith®. Custom privacy blinds add a touch of texture to complement the elegant stone. www.dovestudio.com

Luxe Life
R. Jones Designs, Inc., created this glam bed and bath combo in Peachtree City. The cathedral-like bathroom has a 9-foot-wide zero-entry shower tiled with Sahara Carrara Marble from Floor & Decor. The Hollywood Regency-style bedroom features Possini pendant lighting above a set of mirrored nightstands that flank a linen bed from Wayfair LLC. “You don’t always have to buy expensive things for your home. It’s all about how you put it together,” designer Ronald Jones advises. www.rjones.design

Nature’s Beauty
“The homeowner wanted a tranquil space inspired by nature,” Radhika Vydianathan, owner and principal designer at Kalaa Chakra Interiors, LLC/KCI Design, says about this bedroom in Roswell. “Instead of using a nature-inspired wallpaper, I used Palecek Deco Leaf Indoor/Outdoor Wall Decor [made of hand-cut tin leaves welded on a wire frame] over a turquoise colored wallpaper to create a floral pattern on the wall and add dimension and texture to the space.”
Vydianathan also designed this clean midcentury modern bedroom in Decatur. The antique mirrored-top nightstands from RH and the plug-in metal wall sconces from Pottery Barn help enhance the industrial look. “We chose a wall sconce instead of a table lamp, as the client wanted clear space to store his books and easy access to beverages.” www.kcidesign.net

Custom Comfort
The handcrafted Designer Collection soaker tub with advanced heating and air jet elements from MTI Baths is the showstopper in this Roswell master bathroom. The homeowners replaced a previous drop-in tub with this standalone stunner when they expanded their bath by incorporating a hallway. New cabinets from US Cabinet Depot and special storage areas behind sliding glass doors on the vanities added the extra space the owners desired to stow personal items. Designed by AJW Designs, Inc., the space also includes a his-and-her closet. www.ajwdesignsinc.com

Modern Rustic
David and Laurel Mullikin, the husband and wife design team at Infinite Home, created this bathroom in their own home in Suwanee three years ago for their then 12-year-old son. Since he was a big fan of the outdoors, they incorporated wood-like tiles on the walls and floor. They waterproofed the entire room and installed a trench drain. The Union Jack-style pattern on the custom-made cabinetry with a waterfall edge is a nod to his love of London. www.infinitehomellc.com

Bold Moves
Whitney Jones of Wynter House Designs helped this Grant Park homeowner liven up the powder room after it was moved to a new location during a home renovation. The owner wanted a bold statement wall that was equal parts modern and classic. Instead of wallpaper, Jones laid Plisados Ambar C Hexagonal Cementile in vibrant yellow by Bisazza on the sink wall and added an Alape Bucket Sink and rounded rectangle metal mirror, both from Rejuvenation.
