How do I know if my gutters slope correctly?
A: A gutter slope, also known as a gutter pitch, is the slight tilt your gutters have that allows water to flow down and out of the gutter system. Signs of improper gutter slope include standing water in your gutters and gutters that appear to be pulling away from your home. It’s important to maintain a gutter system that properly diverts water away from your home to prevent foundation issues and water damage to other parts of your home.
