Outdoor Oasis

Canyon Stone, a manufacturer of quality stone veneer products, consulted with the homeowners and Planworx Architects to design and build this extraordinary outdoor patio. The concept was a covered seat walls and a kitchen with bar connected by an oversized architectural pergola and a 22-foot tall fireplace as the focal point.

This outdoor patio/kitchen began as a vision to transform a stained wooden deck into a European experience. After architectural plans were approved, the Canyon Stone team demoed the deck and built a reinforced wall around the new footprint. The area was filled with 330 tons of #57 stone and the plumbing and electrical work were roughed in. The homeowner selected a stamped concrete surface which had to be pumped, then masonry and framing were completed.

Granite countertops, all stainless appliances and flat screen plasma TV make for a well-equipped kitchen. The final touches came with recessed low voltage lighting, recessed audio speakers and custom ironwork railing for the perimeter and stairway. All masonry surfaces were veneered with Canyon Ledge Stone from Canyon Stone.
